Krill are small marine crustaceans that are present in huge numbers in the Arctic and Antarctic oceans. Krill meal is known to be an excellent carp bait ingredient that will undoubtedly help catch other coarse fish also. It has a distinctive smell and characteristic pink colour, a consequence of the carotenoid pigments it contains. Krill meal is extremely attractive to fish and highly nutritious, containing a broad range of minerals and vitamins. It is also high in protein and rich in omega-3 oils.
